What a great day!

So today is a day of great promises fulfilled and new beginnings. After 9 LONG months, our house in Jackson is finally rented out! YAY! But that is only one thing that happened today. Here is the story.

Josh and I were faced with a huge dilemma this month. We were having to carry 2 mortgages and pay all of our other bills as well as recover from moving expenses and Christmas travel last month. It was crazy and our faith was pushed to the max! By the time our KC rent was due, we were coming up short. As Josh went down to his shop to work and I was left sitting on the couch, my heart was needing a little lift. I sat on the couch and began to talk outloud to myself. I began reminding myself of all the times God has come through for us. All the situations that seemed hopeless but ended up full of promise. I recounted time after time that we were NEVER forsaken or forgotten. Within 1 hour of finishing, my faith was built up and my phone rang. It was a phone call that took my breath away. The person on the other end said they wanted to bless me and Josh with a monetary gift. The amount was exactly what we needed to pay our rent!

So then after I told Josh the news, it was like he physically looked different. A stress had been lifted from his shoulders. He said, "Alice, we have got to get rid of this house in Jackson. I don't know if I can take this every month." Got it! I have a NEW mission. Get the house sold or rented. So I posted our home on Craigs List and said a prayer. The post went on a midnight and at 6am this morning, the phone started ringing....YAY! I had 5 phone calls, 2 emails, and a text message. The second person to look at the home was a police officer/single dad. He called and said the amount was great, the place is great, and he needed to move in before the end of the month so was ready to pay for February! And get this...he played on the CLC Softball team! HA! God is so awesome!

So we are moving toward promises being completed and fulfilled. I love living for Jesus.
